Liz Walford
Appointed to YourPlace Board in December 2009. Liz is experienced at Board level in executive and non-executive roles in the not-for-profit sector, including charities, industrial and provident societies and limited companies.
She has practical understanding of governance and accountability and wide experience of the legal and regulatory framework in the housing sector.
She joined Walsall Housing Group (WHG) as Group Chief Executive in 2004. WHG is a metropolitan Large Scale Voluntary Transfer, formed in March, 2003, to take ownership of 23,000 homes and the TUPE transfer of 850 staff from the borough council.
Liz was previously Group Operations Director and Company Secretary at Bromford Housing Group.
Isobel McEwing
Isobel was appointed to the YourPlace Board in November 2004. She is a former Chair of the GHA Board (formerly Management Committee) from 5 December 2003 to 26 November 2004.
She was also a GHA Board member from May 2001 until 2005.
Isobel has a nursing qualification and is a member of NHS Advisory Board. She is a member of Citizens Advice Scotland and Treasurer of Parkhead CAB.
She is also a committee member of Tollcross LHO and Bridgeton community Regeneration Committee and also a Board member of the Friends of Tollcross Park Community.
She is a published poet and short story writer.
Margaret Dillon
Margaret was appointed to the YourPlace Board in February 2004 and is an owner-occupier in Hamiltonhill.
She is now retired, after a 30-year career in the Benefits Agency. Margaret is Chair of Hamiltonhill LHO and a member of a wide range of local committees in the neighbourhood.
Wilma Masterton
Appointed to YourPlace Board September 2006, Wilma has a wealth of experience having served on a variety of forums in her neighbourhood. These include her local addictions forum of which she is interim Chair. She is also a former Chair and founding member of Clydeside Tenant Partnership where, after standing down after 5 years, she is now Vice-Chair.
Wilma was an original member of GHA Shadow Board and at present chairs GHA’s Operations Committee.
Before moving to Yoker in 1992 Wilma lived in Possilpark where she was very active in her community and fought to keep the former Possilpark Secondary School for the Community – now called Ardoch House. Wilma signed the lease of the building in early 1993 and is very proud of what the Committee achieved for their community.
